John B. Park

John B. Park is a distinguished senior technology executive with over 30 years of experience in Information Technology, specialising in designing and delivering innovative solutions to complex business challenges and opportunities. His expertise spans a diverse range of industries, including high technology, financial services, media and entertainment, and, more recently, education. This year, John joined The British College as Chief Technology Officer. 


Before joining The British College, John spent nine years at Capital Group, one of the world's largest investment management organisations with over $2.6 trillion in assets under management. At Capital Group, he served as Chief Architect for Distribution, overseeing technology strategy and architecture for a $200 million IT portfolio supporting marketing, sales, and service.


Prior to his tenure at Capital Group, John held the position of Head of Product Management at Google, where he led multiple high-impact initiatives. Notably, he was the lead Product Manager for Google+, managing a platform with over 500 million monthly active users. He also spearheaded Google’s venture into traditional media advertising (radio), where his contributions resulted in nine patent filings.


John’s earlier career includes serving as a principal management consultant at PA Consulting, where he advised global organisations such as Cisco, Sony, Ingram Micro, and Disney on IT strategy. Additionally, he was a member of the executive team at an internet start-up, where he built and managed a team of 15 engagement and project managers, overseeing a portfolio of projects valued at over $20 million.


John is deeply committed to leveraging technology and innovation within the non-profit sector. He recently concluded his term as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at World Vision.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
