The British College collaborated with Alfa Beta Institute Pvt. Ltd., and organised the first ever “British Alfa Beta Cup 2018: Inter College Futsal Tournament” on the 23th & 24th April 2018 at Dhanwatari Futsal, Dhumbarahi.

The event was supported by the All Nepal Football Association and Red Bull amongst other renowned national and international brands. Some major partners of this event were NIC ASIA Bank Ltd., Turkish Airlines, Daraz Nepal, ESET, VIANET and Sulux Center.

The competition showcased a display of true sportsmanship on and off the pitch from all participants. A total of 16 Undergraduate colleges from different universities participated in the tournament.

Title winner of British Alfa Beta Cup 2018 is The British College and the runners up: King's College. Best Player of the tournament was awarded to Dhiraj Thapa from The British College (TBC) and Best Keeper of the tournament was awarded to Tenzing Samdup.

Following the matches, the winning teams were presented cups, medals, cash prizes and gift hampers at an award ceremony. The awards were presented to the winners by Mr. Abdullah Tuncer Kececi General Manager of Turkish Airlines, Mr. Rahul Lal Shrestha the Managing Director of ESET Antivirus, Mr.Diwakar Acharya, the Sales Director ESET, Dr.John Bateman Principal of The British College, and Mr. Jim Becofske, Senior Faculty at TBC

Congratulations to the winning teams, who demonstrated both outstanding technical skills and exceptional teamwork. The British College looks forward to hosting similar events in the future to boost the spirit of sportsmanship in youth today.
