From the 15th to 19th May 2023, we enjoyed an incredible week of cross-cultural exploration and academic collaboration, when we welcomed a cohort of students from our partner institute, Leeds Beckett University (LBU).

Working with our own students here at TBC, they were split into teams, each with a mission to tackle real-world challenges using the versatile Raspberry Pi technology. As a result, their days were filled with brainstorming, tinkering, and coding, all in the pursuit of turning their ideas into something tangible that could make a difference.

And then came the moment of truth – the presentations! Standing before their mentors and peers, students from the UK and Kathmandu worked together to showcase not just their technical skills but also their ability to think critically and collaborate effectively. 

But this experience was so much more than just technology and coding. It was about people from different corners of the world coming together, sharing their knowledge, and learning from each other. We didn't just exchange technical expertise; we exchanged stories, perspectives, and a deep appreciation for each other's cultures. At the end of the programme, students realised that despite their differences, they all shared one common goal – to learn, innovate, and make the world a better place through collaboration.
