Why should you take the Foundation course before studying A-Level?

A-Level is a world-recognised end of high school qualification, equivalent to Grade 11 and Grade 12 in Nepal. The course is designed by subject experts to develop students subject knowledge, and improve their skills in reasoning, critical thinking, and evaluation - all of which are required to proceed to University level. Therefore the course is updated regularly and focuses on students’ learning, in order to fulfill the objectives of gaining knowledge and successfully applying it to understand, handle, and evaluate relevant information.

Most of the students studying A-Level in Nepal, join A-Level after passing Grade10 from SEE board or CBSE board. However, in order to transition the gap in learning objectives, this foundation course will be instrumental. The course focuses on developing skills in understanding subject matter and applying information to solve problems. Moreover, the medium of education for A Level is English. So, if English is not your native language, or one that you are used to being taught in, the English classes offered at foundation level will be highly beneficial in developing your ability to use a second language when learning a subject matter.
