"Opportunities don't just knock; they open doors to worlds you’ve never imagined."

That’s how I felt when I received an email offering an internship at The British College. Little did I know that stepping through this door would not only introduce me to marketing but would also spark personal growth and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Before joining The British College, I was in a workplace that lacked the professionalism and growth I sought. However, this all changed when I got the chance to intern in Admissions and Marketing—a role that was outside my comfort zone as a tech enthusiast but filled with possibilities. I saw this as my opportunity to explore new horizons and applied eagerly.

After two rounds of interviews, my friend and I were thrilled to be selected as interns. From day one, I was welcomed with open arms by my supportive seniors and managers, Dibya Ma’am and Amardeep Sir, who made every step of this journey comfortable. They provided guidance, encouragement, and the freedom to grow. Before I knew it, I was not only handling calls but also leading a team of four interns—a responsibility I took on with excitement.

What made this internship truly special was the environment. It wasn’t just about work. Whether we were celebrating birthdays, organizing farewells, or simply cutting a cake for the smallest reason, the atmosphere was always lively and fun. The warmth and inclusivity of my seniors made every day something to look forward to, and I never felt out of place.

One of the most impactful moments during my internship was a piece of advice shared by Mahendra Sir during a team meeting. He said, “The ones who remain composed in moments of tension and embrace a mindset of continuous learning are destined for growth.” This became my guiding principle and shaped how I approached every challenge I encountered.

During my time with the marketing and admissions teams, I had the opportunity to step outside the office and visit various institutes. These presentations not only improved my public speaking skills but also deepened my understanding of lead generation, nurturing, and conversion. It was more than just marketing; I learned how to have meaningful conversations with students and guide them through their decision-making process.

Meeting Jonas, a fellow intern from Germany, was another highlight of my internship. We bonded over our shared experiences and cultural exchanges, and he added an international dimension to my time at The British College. Our friendship continues to enrich my global perspective.

I was also fortunate enough to attend two major Fintech events. Connecting with industry leaders from the IT and finance sectors revealed how deeply intertwined marketing is across different industries and highlighted the vast opportunities that emerge when these fields intersect.

One of my most memorable accomplishments was participating in the IEPAN event in August, where I counseled over 60 students. Seeing the immediate results of those interactions was exhilarating, and it reaffirmed how impactful clear communication and genuine engagement can be in driving success.

Looking back, this internship was not just a professional experience but a journey of personal growth, discovery, and fun. It allowed me to step beyond my technical background and immerse myself in the dynamic world of marketing and sales. I walked away with new skills, wonderful memories, and a network of incredible people who will stay with me for years to come.

To any new students joining The British College, I highly recommend applying for an internship here. You never know what doors it will open.
