Critical Thinking and Writing Skills attendee experience sharing
Impact of COVID-19 has been severe and hard-hitting individuals and businesses. Because the educational institutions were closed during the lockdown, the guided and formal learning activities of students were particularly affected.
Amidst all these crises and confusion, I had planned to continue my studies to make sure that I use the best of my time during the lockdown. This is when I came across the information about an online course on 'Critical Thinking and Writing Skills' that was being organised by The British College for free.
I immediately enrolled for the course and got selected out of many applicants. I had a wonderful learning experience during 12 sessions of this course. I got an opportunity to learn about academic integrity and understand the importance of maintaining academic integrity for any type of academic and research writing. The course also helped me understand the importance of argumentative writing with facts and logic. Additionally, it encouraged me to be able to ask right and relevant questions which I believe are the fundamental elements of research.
The Module Leader (Ms Deepa Shakya) who taught this course was the best. Everything she taught, she made sure to help us think from a practical perspective with examples and encouraged us to participate in different ways for interactive learning.
By the end of the course, I definitely learned a lot about academic and research writing and more specifically, I learned the basics of critical thinking. I am grateful to The British College PGBM team for this opportunity. I will definitely recommend this course to my friends and families if the College team runs the second round of this course.
Thank you!
