A Weekend Expedition at Chitlang with British Professional College
How remarkable it is that a weekend excursion can forge lifelong memories. Recently, we embarked on an unforgettable two-day, one-night expedition to the picturesque village of Chitlang, Nepal. Our party comprised 50 enthusiastic ACCA students accompanied by faculty members, all eager to commence their journey.
The expedition began as our coach departed the campus grounds towards Chandragiri, with spirited cheers from the students filling the air. Upon reaching our first destination, we found ourselves embraced by the magnificent hills, whilst our eyes wandered across the majestic mountain panorama. The cable car journey, though brief, offered countless opportunities for scenic appreciation.
The real adventure unfolded as we transitioned from the cable car to a two-hour trek from Chandragiri to Chitlang. The journey was rendered delightful by a harmonious blend of music, captivating landscapes, animated conversations, and strengthening bonds amongst peers. Upon completion of our trek, we were welcomed by the refreshing mountain air of Chitlang and the comforting warmth of hot soup at our resort. The afternoon was dedicated to recreational activities and well-deserved rest.
As dusk approached, a splendid barbecue and campfire awaited. What could be more enchanting than gathering beneath the starlit sky, singing in unison with companions whilst the fire's warmth dispelled the evening chill? The day culminated in a hearty dinner and traditional dancing around the campfire.
The following morning commenced with a wholesome breakfast before we ventured towards our next destination. Our journey took us from Chitlang to Kulekhani, where we encountered the breathtaking expanse of Kulekhani Lake. The students were captivated by its seemingly endless waters, perfectly framed by rolling hills. Everyone savoured the tranquil boat ride across the lake, as gentle breezes carried a sense of serenity. The expedition was complemented by an authentic local luncheon in Kulekhani.
Our return journey to campus was filled with engaging games and cheerful laughter throughout the evening. This Chitlang expedition proved to be an ideal amalgamation of social connection, relaxation, and enjoyment. Whilst the ACCA programme presents its academic challenges, such expeditions certainly enhance the overall experience.
Indeed, it was an expedition that shall long remain in our memories.
