A Blissful Escape: Chandragiri Hills and Chitlang Adventure Sometimes, the best memories are made just a few hours from home. Our two-day adventure to Chandragiri Hills and Chitlang was the perfect mix of nature, thrill, and bonding moments.

We started our journey at 10 AM, departing from our campus at Chakupath, buzzing with excitement. A short drive brought us to Chandragiri Hills Cable Car Station, where the real fun began. The cable car ride was magical, offering sweeping views of the valley below and setting the perfect tone for the day.

At the top, we spent an hour soaking in breathtaking landscapes, crisp mountain air, and, of course, snapping tons of photos. My friends and I had a blast trying out adventures like the swing at the top of the hills, which was both thrilling and incredibly fun. Moreover, the weather? Absolutely perfect!

By 2 PM, we embarked on a two-hour hike to Chitlang. The trail was a symphony of lush greenery and serene paths. The chatter and laughter among friends, combined with humorous complaints for our teachers about the seemingly endless hike, made the journey even more entertaining. Finally, we arrived at Chitlang Resort, tired but exhilarated.

The evening festivities kicked off at around 6 PM with a lively BBQ and campfire session. The crackling fire, delicious food, and infectious laughter made for an unforgettable evening. By 10 PM, we wrapped up the day with a hearty dinner and eagerly anticipated the next day’s adventures.

The morning at Chitlang was magical. The close-up views of the mountains and the cheerful chirping of birds; a rare treat compared to Kathmandu’s bustling city noise brought a sense of tranquility. After a hearty breakfast at 9 AM, we packed up and headed toward Kulekhani Lake. By noon, we were on the serene waters, enjoying both traditional and motor boating experiences. The traditional boat ride offered calm and peace, while the motorboat added a thrilling burst of excitement.

Lunch followed at 2:30 PM which was a delicious vegetarian spread that left us feeling nourished and content. By 3 PM, it was time to say goodbye to this enchanting getaway. After a smooth drive, we were back on campus by 8 PM, marking the end of a trip to remember.

From the stunning views atop Chandragiri to the vibrant vibes at Chitlang and the peaceful yet exhilarating Kulekhani Lake, this trip was everything we could have asked for. It was a refreshing break from our routine, filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished moments with friends and teachers alike.

Would I go back? Without a doubt. Until next time, Chandragiri and Chitlang!
